Room with a view

A very nice couple of guests from South Africa sent us some suggestions about their stay in apartment La Salvia in June 2014:

Bliss, is the only way to describe the feeling when you come home to Villa Pacinotti after a good but tiresome day in Pistoia, Lucca or Firenze. You come home to a place of calm rest. You open the window, lie down on that huge bed and look out over Pistoia and the hills beyond. Or you go in the big kitchen, open a bottle of chianti and start making a big salad while my wife starts making pasta. Bliss!

You can go for a walk through the olive orchards and higher up the hill the forest to the beautiful little church on top of the hill. On the way there you can talk to the local people. They will invite you to come for coffee next time you are around, a gentleman will tell you about his old cars, another lady will wait till you come down the hill again and give you from her vegetables, fruit and eggs!  Bliss!

What a privilege to have Patrizia and Giovanni as you hosts, Always ready to help, just talk, or  give advice on where to go next. If you stay for two weeks, like we did, they will invite to a feast! And can the lady cook! And that is after a grand tour of the main house Villa Pacinotti.

But you also must taste the olive oil produced on the farm.

Tomorrow morning you will be gently awakened by the singing of birds and a gentle little cock telling you it is time for another day of discovery!

Will we go back? YES! YES! YES!

Vive la campagne! Viva Agriturismo! Viva Toscana! Viva Villa Pacinotti.
